  • Dagan W. Beckett, Executive Director

    Dagan has dedicated his career to telling inspiring stories. He is an Emmy® Award-winning film director and producer. He graduated from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with his Bachelor of Arts in both music and mass communications with a degree emphasis on filmmaking and storytelling. In 2020, Dagan and his production team produced the Emmy®Award-Winning documentary feature film, Songbirds, which is distributed on Amazon Prime and Peacock through Gravitas Venture Films. Dagan has traveled and collaborated with filmmakers and creatives around the world. His films have played at film festivals in Cannes, Barcelona, New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Atlanta, Nashville, and more. Dagan currently serves as founder and executive producer for the Beckett Arts Project.

  • Ann Cater, Executive Producer of Content

    Ann has been involved with the arts her entire life, graduating from Converse College with a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance and a Master’s Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After teaching for nine years, she had a 20-year career in radio and television sales and marketing. Prior to her retirement from the public television station, Ann received an Emmy® award in 2016 as a coordinating producer for the the documentary feature film, From the Streets to the Stage: The Journey of Fredrick Davis which has received global acclaim as part of the PBS arts programming.  In 2020, Ann co-produced a freelance documentary, Be Like Brit, that aired on ABC affiliate stations in Boston and South Florida. The film commemorated the 10th anniversary of the building of an orphanage in Grande Guave, that arose from the ashes of the Haitian earthquake in 2010. In addition to international travels, she enjoys writing, and has published a children’s book, Charlotte’s Lost Water Bottle, with another one, Mysterious Light in the Fairy Forest, ready for publication. Ann currently serves as an executive producer for the Beckett Arts Project.

  • Irving Berner, Music Supervisor & Producer

    Irving is a musician who contributed two songs to the soundtrack of the indie film "Wired" in 2006. In recent years he was hired to help open and run the Songbirds Guitar Museum in Chattanooga which only lasted three years and due to the Covid pandemic was forced to close in August of 2020. It was at that point that he met a local filmmaker named Dagan Beckett and the the idea for the Songbirds Documentary organically began. Irving currently serves as an executive producer for the Beckett Arts Project.
